Texas Hold’em is all about individuals and position. All knowledgeable Holdem players concur that position in no limit Holdem is fundamentally important. Playing your hole cards in late spot could be certainly more beneficial than in starting poker position. The reason because much more data is collected right before acting.
As an example, I was playing a $1-$2 no limit cash game at a local spot. I came in with 2, 9 unsuited on the dealer button, just to partake in a little excitement. Flop came down A-A-4. A gambler in early spot laid a fifteen dollar bet. 2 individuals fold and it was my turn to act. I should have dropped out, but something seemed a tiny bit off. I identified this player as a weak-tight bettor, and usually if he had the best hand he would just check, so I called.
The turn came down with a 7, meaning it was a A-A-4-7. My competitor made another bet of $20. I deliberated a little bit, but made a decision to re-raise a further $30thirty dollars on top of his $20. He folds and I take the pot.
Wagering at late spot provides you an idea where you sit by seeing how enthusiasts behave and wager. On the other hand, people at early position may use their poker position to check-raise the late positioned competitors and trap them later at the end. In Hold’em, each ends, last and starting must be played cautiously.
